Congratulations to the 2024 ICNA Junior Investigator Award winners, Dr. Lucia Amolo and Dr. Audrey Ker Shin Soo.
The ICNA Research Committee has selected two junior members to receive the ICNA Junior Researcher award-
Lucia Amolo (Ghana) for her study on “Clinical profile, diagnosis and treatment outcomes of primary brain tumors in Durban, South Africa, and
Audrey Ker Shin Soo (UK) for her study on “Accelerating precision therapy and trial readiness in PLA2G6 associated neurodegeneration“
These awardees will receive up to $2000 to cover their travel expenses to the next ICNC in 2026 in Taipei, as well as complementary registration to that meeting.
Dr Lucia Amolo is a paediatric neurologist currently practising at the Kenyatta National Referral Hospital, Kenya. She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate training at the University of Nairobi in 2009 and 2014, respectively.
Dr Amolo recently qualified as a paediatric neurologist from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa in 2024. She is passionate about serving children with neurological disorders in low and middle-income settings and has an interest in neuroradiology and neurometabolic disorders.
