Dr. Ipek Polat graduated from Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Medicine in Izmir, Türkiye. She completed her Pediatrics Residency at Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Medicine Pediatrics Department, and also her Pediatric Neurology Fellowship at Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Medicine, Division of Pediatric Neurology. She has worked as a pediatric neurologist in various private and public institutions across the eastern, southeastern, and western regions of Türkiye. She served as a chief resident at Behçet Uz Children’s Hospital. As part of the ICGNMD project, she participated in a neuromuscular fellowship program. She is currently working as a faculty member in the Division of Pediatric Neurology at Dokuz Eylül University and is pursuing a PhD in Molecular Biology and Genetics at the İzmir Biomedicine and Genome Center.
