Claire joined the health charity sector in the UK in 2011, where she worked on building a bowel cancer community awareness initiative, a research network for people affected by Parkinson’s disease, and a national Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) programme in research. She later worked as a freelancer with several UK and European patient organisations, the Charities Research Involvement Group (CRIG) in the UK, and a patient-centred research company, MediPaCe, developing expertise in supporting collaboration between pharmaceutical companies, patient organisations, and people living with health conditions to improve the design and delivery of health-related research and initiatives.

She joined the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE) in August 2022 and currently leads its flagship engagement initiatives, including IBE INVOLVE. Her role involves close collaboration with the Community Council, development of the Global Epilepsy Leader Programme, and delivery of the Global Epilepsy Needs Study.
