For international attendees planning to visit Taiwan for ICNC2026, please review the following visa requirements and application procedures.

🧳 Visa Requirements
- VISA-Exempt Entry
Nationals of countries under the BOCA visa-exemption list may enter Taiwan visa-free.

Applicants who need to apply for a visa, and among them those who require an e-Code issued by the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, should follow the official instructions.

📬 Official Invitation Letter
You may request a visa support invitation letter from ICNC2026. It is available for:
✅ Authors and speakers with accepted papers, posters, or talks
✅ Congress committee members
✅ Registered attendees

✈️ Arrival Card
Upon arrival, please complete and submit the Online Arrival Card within three (3) days before your entry to Taiwan, as required by the National Immigration Agency (NIA).

There are two international airports in Taipei:
🛫 Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) – The main gateway for international travelers.

🚖 Recommended transport: taxi or airport shuttle to Xinyi District for the most seamless transfer.
💰 Approx. fare: NT$1,200 to Taipei City.
🛬 Taipei Songshan Airport (TSA) – Serves domestic and regional flights (Seoul, Tokyo, mainland China, etc.).
📍 Only 30 minutes from TICC.

🌤️ Climate
Taipei has a subtropical climate.
🌡️ August temperatures: ~34°C (93°F) daytime / ~26°C (79°F) night.
👕 Bring light clothing and 🌧️ rainwear — showers are common.
🗣️ Language
The official language is Mandarin Chinese (中文).
💬 English is widely spoken, especially in hotels, restaurants, and public transport.
🧭 Most signs and station names are bilingual.
🚕 Some taxi drivers may not speak English — keep a hotel address card or destination written in Mandarin handy.

Yellow taxis are everywhere — hail on the street, at hotels, or use Uber.
💳 Most taxis accept cash; some accept EasyCard or credit card.
🚇 Metro (MRT)
Fast, clean, and convenient — trains every 3–5 minutes.
🚫 No smoking, eating, drinking, or gum inside.
🎫 Purchase one-way tickets, day passes, or use the EasyCard (悠遊卡).
ℹ️ Info desks and multilingual ticket machines available at all stations.
🚌 Bus
Excellent network covering the entire city.
💵 Fare: NT$15 (≈USD 0.50) per segment.
🪙 Pay with coins or EasyCard (tap on & off).
